We provide a cohesive, well thought out plan that results in a room that you and your family will love. No regrets, no wasting time, no wasting money, no worrying about bad decisions. With gracious guidance, humor and excellent taste, we can help you achieve your dream home.

With years of hands-on design experience and exposure to all major design markets, we have curated a vendor list to suite every need.

We offer in-home consultations. The initial visit is charged per hour and includes a scope of work and a follow-up proposal, including approximate budget, timeline and outline of professional fees.

For smaller projects, we are happy to meet by appointment in our design studio. This appointment works best for projects that don’t necessarily define the room. For example, a fabric for reupholstery or finishing touches such as decorative pillows.

Holiday Decorating

Whether you just need some help with your mantle, or would like to deck the halls, we are happy to help. We offer a limited number of holiday appointments. Booking begins in September for November and December.

Home Sale

Before you place your home on the market, we are happy to help edit, organize, and accessorize your interior so that you put your best foot forward to buyers.

Art Consultation

We can help you find just the right piece of art for your home. We can also help with framing, re-framing and hanging items from your
current collection.

Lighting Consultation

The right chandelier, sconce, or lamp can really be the final piece of jewelry for the room. It’s often an afterthought or a totally forgotten piece. Allow us to find the perfect light for any environment whether task, accent or ambient.

MEET OUR TEAM

Gretchen Matkin, Owner, Creative Director

Retail and design runs in Gretchen’s veins! She grew up running around the Naples Lamp shop, absorbing her mother’s keen eye for color, scale and style. It is no surprise that she would eventually follow in her mother’s formidable footsteps (Susan was a national award winning retailer and interior designer). After graduating from college with a marketing degree, Gretchen worked in that field for several years, renovated two homes and had a baby. Around that time, she realized how much she missed being surrounded by beautiful things in a stimulating, creative environment. It was also at the time that Maggie’s Table became available for sale. Serendipity! Fifteen years later the retail business has evolved into a decor & lifestyle shop with ever changing inspiration for your home. Interiors by Maggie’s is a natural extension of the store after years of helping clients interpret their personal style. Born in 2014, Interiors by Maggies now offers full in-home design services for all styles and budgets. And, always service with a smile!

Keira Schwarz, Project Manager

Keira grew up in a family that built and refinished furniture (& cars!) as a hobby, and with a mother who felt that a day at a museum was always as valuable as a day at school. After college, Keira moved to NYC and worked for several years in non-profit development. Itching for a creative outlet, Keira began a woodworking apprenticeship (and a sewing class, and a writing class). On a whim one night, she applied for a sales position with an English Furniture company. Over the next five years, Keira would rise from “Fabric Mistress” to showroom manager of the George Smith showroom in Soho, while also moonlighting as an assistant to a small design firm. Three kids and a decade later, Keira walked into Maggie’s on just the right day, and has since become a significant creative collaborator at Interiors by Maggie’s.

Liz O’Malley, Design Assistant

Liz O'Malley is our design assistant but she is so much more than that to us. Not only has she harnessed and contained all the limitless paperwork and endless follow up that is the reality of interior design, she has also made our studio itself more organized and our lives run a bit more smoothly. Despite being over qualified and having a big family life Liz does her job with such ease we can’t imagine how we got by without her.
